Flossie was so full of turkey and mashed potatoes last Friday, she couldn’t even dream of flying around Bath! Feeling much lighter this week, she couldn’t wait to zip over to the corner of South Main and Carteret Streets to see the Historic Bath Garden Club’s decorations! She thinks they make a very festive welcome into Bath and she wants everyone to know that they need to come to Bath on Sunday, December 7th for the Bath Ruritan Club’s shrimp lunch and the Christmas parade happening at 2 p.m. Flossie is also getting excited about all the people coming to help decorate next week as we get ready for the site’s Christmas Open House day of events, Saturday the 13th. Check out our event schedule on the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/670777436340877/. If you come to the parade on Sunday, get someone to take a picture of you (or take a selfie) and tag us @HistBathSiteNC using #Bathparade or on Facebook (tagging us @Historic Bath Site and using #Bathparade).
You can also start thinking about how we decorate for Christmas today and how people would have done so in the 1700s. Flossie wants to talk about that subject next week!
