Flossie’s Fridays: Week 10

Flossie can’t wait to tell you about Historic Bath Site participating in an event for the first time ever! Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day Live! will be held this upcoming September 27th. House tours at Bath will be offered at the top of each hour and tours originate from the Visitor Center. Each tour will be limited to 30 people because of space restrictions. In addition to two people getting free tours, some site volunteers will be on hand to do period crafts/activities with our guests. If you live too far away to visit Historic Bath Site, please check out the website mentioned below to learn about other museums participating in this nationwide effort to get people visiting all our country’s great museums!
The tickets are not available at Historic Bath Site. You must go to http://www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/tickets and print off a ticket, good for two people to tour the site for FREE! (You are welcome to bring others along, but they would need to pay to tour, unless they register online separately.) We hope to see you here……don’t forget to bring your ticket! An added bonus: when you register, you will receive the digital edition of Smithsonian magazine free for one year with no obligation, beginning in October.
Flossie will be on the lookout for any young visitors. If you come on Saturday, September 27th, ask the person at the front desk to borrow Flossie so you can have your picture made with her. Any pictures of you and Flossie together can be tagged to @HistBathSiteNC using #meandfloss or on Facebook (again tagging us as @Historic Bath Site and using #meandfloss). Hope to see you soon!
