After getting introduced to the Queen Anne’s Revenge exhibit a few weeks ago, Flossie wanted to flit over to the Blackbeard art exhibit that is located across the street in the Bath High School gallery. This temporary exhibit is accessed through the Bath Community Library during its hours of operation (10-6 Monday-Friday and Saturday 9-12). Here, you see Flossie posing with a model of Blackbeard’s Adventure. This ship was a sloop and it was the ship that the pirate would have actually been able to maneuver in Bath’s waters. The Queen Anne’s Revenge was a frigate. Why don’t you do what Flossie did………find a dictionary and look up the meaning of these words? You will understand why lots of cannons have been found at the shipwreck site of the Queen Anne’s Revenge in Beaufort Inlet. Remember, you can come into the Historic Bath Visitor Center to see the traveling exhibit about the QAR through Saturday, July 26th!
