Calling All Volunteers!
Historic Bath Site is hosting a Volunteer Open House for interested and current volunteers
BATH, NC – Tuesday, June 24th, 2014
Are you looking for a new way to get involved in your community? Do you want to learn a new skill or share your passion of history or crafting with the public? Are you a high school or college student looking for volunteer hours? Would you enjoy working on special projects, decorating, beautification or helping out with special events? If you answered “Yes!” to any of these questions – then consider coming to the Volunteer Open House at Historic Bath Site!
This is an exciting time for Bath as we enter our 310th anniversary year beginning in 2015. There will be new events and efforts to bring new visitors to our town. As we unveil Bath as the “First Town, First Port” of North Carolina and bring in new faces, we have discovered new volunteer opportunities! We really look forward to new team members joining us in these opportunities that range from aiding with special projects such as archives, conservation or education to beautification and decoration to being an informational greeter or house tour guide, and more!
On Tuesday, June 24th from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. interested and current volunteers will be greeted at the Historic Bath Site Visitor Center (207 Carteret Street, Bath NC 27808) by employees who will be entertaining you, giving you information and answering any of your questions related to volunteering. Informational handouts will be available for everyone to take home and read over, a presentation will be made giving further information about the new volunteer opportunities going on at Historic Bath Site, and there will be applications and sign-ups on hand. Light snacks and beverages will also be served.
If you plan on attending, please RSVP to Historic Bath Site by Friday, June 20th by calling (252)-923-3971. We look forward to seeing all of our current volunteers and anyone who is interested in volunteering!
